Samsung has announced the Galaxy Note 10.1 – a tablet that is going to be launched this month.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 has a 10.1-inch screen that promises the precision and functionality of a pen and paper. The device integrates the S Pen of Samsung with S Note’s various tools and templates. The screen of the tablet is large enough to display two different running applications at the same time. For example, users can browse the web or watch a video while writing down notes on another application.
Samsung’s S Pen is a stylus that is 6.5mm long. It can slide into the device directly, and when removed, certain applications in the Galaxy Note 10.1 are launched automatically.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 features an active learning experience. Samsung says that this includes special tools for directly taking notes on any book and researching information for educational purposes.
The device has 2GB of RAM, a quad-core processor of 1.4 GHz, and an Android 4.0 OS. The Galaxy Note 10.1 also features two cameras – a front camera of 1.9 megapixels and a rear camera of 5.0 megapixels with autofocus and LED flash. Other features include Bluetooth, GPS, USB 2.0 host, integrated Wi-Fi, and integrated mobile broadband.
“GALAXY Note 10.1 further demonstrates Samsung’s dedication to delivering products that offer a complete mobile experience for creating personalized and expressive content,” said Samsung Electronics President of IT & Mobile Communications Division JK Shin.
“History has shown that taking notes, capturing ideas immediately, and sketching to realize them is the most personal and natural way to be more productive and creative. The advanced technology and features included in GALAXY Note 10.1 give users the power to produce, create and customize communications.”
The Galaxy Note 10.1, which will be launched in late August, will be sold with either 16 GB, 32 GB, or 64 GB of memory with expansion memory through a microSD card.
