According to trusted sources, Apple could be announcing their third-generation iPad during the first week of March. They have held similar events in the past on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, making March 6th and 7th likely dates. Assuming it follows the same pattern as last year, the iPad should be available about a week after the announcement.

Rumors have been floating around whether the new iPad could have Apple’s Retina Display, 4G LTE, or a quad-core processor. High definition photographs of a new iPad aluminum casing have been found showing that the new device is slightly thicker with an interior redesign. The iPad 3 will feature higher definition cameras, Apple’s Retina Display, and support the iPad Smart Cover with interior magnets. It is a possibility that the next iPad could feature 4G LTE technology, but it is not likely.
